It's too late.
She breaks down into tears as he storms out the door. She shouts “I never want to see you again.” He jumps into his car and drives away with no idea of what would become of him.
And she can’t pretend she doesn’t love him as she follows the red flashing lights. The last words she said running through her head, as the sirens break the silence of the night.
